A Letter from Our Publisher and CEO, Janelle Morrison.
For nearly 17 years, I’ve watched local news transform from the ink-stained pages of the traditional print model to the fast-paced, unpredictable landscape of social media feeds and AI-driven algorithms.
Like many veteran journalists, I’ve had to evolve right alongside it. I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the outright exhausting shifts in how our communities consume information. Too often, I’ve watched the hunger for quick clicks take precedence over deep reporting, trading quality and accuracy for speed and sensationalism.
We deserve better. Our communities deserve better.

ToggleA New Chapter: People Over Profit
As the publisher of Carmel Monthly, Zionsville Monthly, and the Zionsville Post, my goal is clear: to build vibrant, all-digital products that put people over profit.
We are moving past the noise to deliver the impactful stories, vital resources, and practical guides that our neighbors actually need to navigate life in the 2020s and beyond.
What We Stand For
Multimedia, multi-perspective storytelling: Evolving beyond the old print model means embracing a dynamic multimedia enterprise. We are bringing educators, local advocates, industry experts, and community leaders to the table—without the political friction.
Building up, not breaking down: Our mission is rooted in community building. We focus on what unites us, rather than adding fuel to the fires that divide us.
Deep local roots: We know Carmel and Zionsville inside and out, from our rich local history to the distinct lore that makes our towns feel like home.
Join Us at the Table
If you believe in supporting local, independently owned media that actually understands our neighborhoods, I invite you to join the conversation.
Together, let’s build something uniquely ours—a trusted resource we can proudly pass down to the next generation of civic leaders, business owners, educators and advocates.
It starts with a conversation, followed by action. It begins with us.
