Singer, actor, and Crossroads Entertainment founder Don Farrell is helping audiences bid farewell to summer with a weekend double feature highlighting two distinct musical experiences in Hamilton County.
The festivities begin Friday, Aug. 28, with “Blé After Dark: Moonlight & Memories” at Blé French Bistro in Noblesville. Following a sold-out debut event in July, the performance marks the second installment of what is now evolving into a monthly cabaret series at the popular venue.
“Blé After Dark: Moonlight & Memories” is an intimate evening celebrating the songs that became the soundtrack of our lives. From first loves and late summer nights to lifelong friendships and cherished memories, Farrell and pianist Terry Woods weave together timeless music, engaging stories, and unforgettable melodies in the warm, inviting atmosphere of Blé French Bistro. Featuring classics made famous by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Jimmy Buffett, and more, the show invites guests to slow down, savor the evening, and rediscover the songs that have quietly become part of their own story.
“Every show will have its own unique theme,” Farrell said. “For this month, it’s ‘Moonlight & Memories’ because it’s leading out of summer. I’m learning new songs to add, including Sinatra tunes I haven’t done before, like a great arrangement of ‘In the Still of the Night.'”
The inaugural July event sold out a week in advance, drawing both loyal Farrell fans and new patrons to the bistro.
“We don’t want to just sell seats; we’re trying to build a tradition and an identity with Blé,” Farrell said. “About 25 to 30 percent of the patrons were first-timers who had heard about the food and were curious. The event helped them give the venue a shot.”
Blé After Dark was created to bring world-class entertainment into the unique setting of a neighborhood French bistro, allowing guests to experience live music up close in an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. Reservations include an exclusive à la carte dining experience prepared by the culinary team at Blé French Bistro, followed by the live performance. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with dinner service beginning shortly after arrival and the show starting at 7:00 p.m.
Seating for the Aug. 28 show is intentionally limited to preserve the intimacy of the evening. Purchasing a ticket does not guarantee a specific table, as seating assignments are determined exclusively at the discretion of the house, though guests under the same reservation will be seated together whenever possible.
The following evening, Saturday, Aug. 29, at 7:30 p.m., Farrell shifts gears to bring “BUBBLES UP! LET’S CELEBRATE JIMMY BUFFETT” to Feinstein’s at Hotel Carmichael in Carmel, marking his final Buffett tribute performance of the year at the venue.
“Then on Saturday night, we’re going to change the vibe completely!” Farrell said. “Come celebrate the music, stories, and spirit of Jimmy Buffett with BUBBLES UP!—a fun-filled evening of island-inspired music and the songs that made Buffett an American original. If you’re ready to escape for a couple of hours and let the good times roll, this one’s for you!”
