Celebrate USA’s 250th at CarmelFest with the Carmel Symphony Orchestra

Join us as the Carmel Symphony Orchestra celebrates the 250th Anniversary of our country. Enjoy classic patriotic tunes leading to the best fireworks  display in the state of Indiana.

You will be among the first to welcome back David Commanday, who now serves as Music Director, for the CSO. He will be conducting the orchestra for the 4th of July concert. This is a quintessentially patriotic way to celebrate  our country’s anniversary, gathering on the public greens, under the stars  with family and friends to hear patriotic classics with a live full  symphony orchestra. This experience cannot be duplicated.

A few of the pieces that will be performed include the “Star-Spangled  Banner”, patriotic George Gershwin and Duke Ellington tunes, “Star Wars  Suite” and “Hymn to the Fallen” by John Williams, and “God Bless America.” The concert’s grand finale will be “Stars and Stripes” by John Phillip Sousa.

The CSO Concert will be immediately followed by the state’s largest fireworks display at 9:45 p.m. as the epic end to the two-day CarmelFest celebration.
