What Can Customers Expect Before the Building Process?

“We have an initial meeting where we sit down and listen to our customers,” McIntyre explained. “Then we [collectively] decide whether we’re going to do an in-house design—Grady McEntire does our in-house design work—or if we are going to connect the customer with a subcontracted design partner. We work with Stephen Goldberg at Goldberg Design Group. We have the customer fill out a questionnaire that goes through all of the attributes of the home to determine what their desires are and what they want in the home.”

McIntyre wants to learn as much as possible about what the customer wants as far as interior and exterior features are concerned so that he and his team can provide preliminary pricing on the project that includes what our customers want.

“The questionnaire is not the final answer—the customers will make changes—but it’s a starting point,” McIntyre said. “With this process, everyone knows the budget before final drawings are created.”

“It [the process] gives the customers confidence when going into the contract phase because they have a clear understanding of the items, the allowance numbers and what it all means,” McIntyre stated. “So, after we’ve provided final pricing and a full set of specifications to our customers, we move into the contract phase and from there into the construction phase—communicating with the customers throughout the entire process—and then they move in.

Home-A-Rama 2020 at Holliday Farms

Carrington Homes is proud to be a participating builder in the 2020 Home-A-Rama, presented by BAGI (Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis), that will be featuring Holliday Farms. While he hasn’t finalized the design of his Home-A-Rama house, he shared that it will be in the ballpark of 6,500 square feet and will feature quality construction, the best interior and exterior amenities and smart home features that Carrington Homes is known for.

“I’m excited for the Holliday Farms development,” McIntyre said. “I believe it is the last development that will feature a [championship] 18-hole golf course by Pete Dye, so it’s going to be an incredible project.”
